This is my personal web page. While this web page is public, I mainly use it to share pictures with my family and to keep web links for all my professional and hobby interests. The picture is a Cessna T-37 "Tweet" at Laughlin Air Force Base's undergraduate pilot training school, Aug 1991.

I'm married to Kristen Redd who I met in a space systems design course at Utah State University. She is a mechanical engineer and took a perpetual leave-of-absence to raise our children.

I am one of the principal writers for a science fiction role-playing game called Universe . It is being published through a company called Tower Ravens.

I currently work for the Space Dynamics Laboratory where I am a computer scientist for spacecraft instrument systems.

In my copious amounts of free time, I volunteer for the Civil Air Patrol. I am the squadron commander for the Cache Valley Composite Squadron and the Assistant Director of Aerospace Education for the Utah Wing.

I used to work for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory where I worked on the Mars Exploration Rovers. I also worked for SEAKR Engineering where I developed firmware for solid-state data recorders that are used in aircraft and satellites. Before that I developed UNIX applications for TRW Systems & Information Technology. Right out of college I worked for Hughes Space and Communications Company as a spacecraft systems engineer, primarily with the simulation of satellite systems.

I used to be one of the three writers for the MacMadness column in ComputorEdge magazine of San Diego and Denver.

I attended college at Utah State University where I studied computer science and electrical engineering. While I was a graduate student, I worked for the Space Dynamics Laboratory as a graduate student researcher and for NASA at the Goddard Space Flight Center as a research associate.

While I was a student, I participated in the Get Away Special Program and participated in the launch of the G-254 experiment on the Space Shuttle Discovery, STS-64. Before the budget cuts in 1991, I was a pilot candidate in the United States Air Force.

I graduated from Spring High School in Spring, Texas. I also attended Alief Hastings High School in Sugarland, Texas and Minico High School in Rupert, Idaho.

Before that was East Minico Jr. High School, Washington Elementary (which has since been condemed and demolished) in Rupert, Idaho, Santiago Elementary in El Toro, California, another in Rosemead, California, and James Russell Lowell School in Watertown, Massachusetts.

And if you want to really go back, I attended preschool at USU's Center for Early Childhood Education, full circle.
