North Logan Soccer is a part of District 7 Youth Soccer, a non-profit organization and division of Utah Youth Soccer Association. It was established to provide the administration and organizational need for an effective soccer program in Cache Valley and Box Elder County. With over 5,000 registered players in District 7, and over 35,000 players statewide, with over 4,900 volunteers, soccer is one of the fastest growing sports in Utah and in the United States.

District 7 Soccer administers two programs, the first and the largest being the Recreation Program, and the second the Competitive Program. Each program is designed to teach soccer skills, sportsmanship, and physical fitness; and provide the maximum amount of success for both kids who want to play soccer for fun, and those who want to have the challenge of serious competition.

Recreation Program

The Recreation Program provides the atmosphere to learn soccer skills without the pressure of the serious competition. They play 10 games with the season beginning around the first of April and ending in the middle of May. Coaches determine their own practice time. Teams play 1 game during the week that usually doesn’t start before 5:30 pm and 1 game Saturday that can start as early as 9:00 am and continue throughout the day. All of the coaches are volunteers and no experience is necessary. There are U5 & U6 teams that are co-ed and U7 and up are divided in boys or girls teams. This level is totally for fun.

Sign ups are the last 2 Saturdays in January and the Wednesday or Thursday between those dates.

Uniforms are a blue and gold reversible jersey, with blue shorts & socks. Shin guards are required. Cleats are encouraged, but not required

Competitive Program

The Competitive Program is designed for the serious soccer player. It provides the conditioning, skill development, and challenges needed for High School or College Level Soccer. All coaches in the District are required to have an "E" License or a waiver to coach. Classes are provided in our district, by the state association two times a year. Anyone can attend.

Most players attend a "try out" or be invited by a coach to play with that team. Tryouts are generally held in June. Coaches and interested players should contact competitive directors for further information. The competitive program is divided into several levels of play. District Competition - may have one or more division and travel is limited to with in our District 7 (Cache Valley, Brigham City, & Tremonton). State Competition - Teams in this level play teams from all over Utah. They travel to Provo, Park City, Heber, and areas in Southern Utah County.

In addition the Utah Youth Soccer Association provides the Olympic Development Program or ODP. The ODP is a National Program on a State Level. Which is designed to identify and develop talented youth soccer players. These players may represent Utah in world class soccer tournaments. It is also intended to aid show casing of the players as athletes for college programs.
