Kid Universe

Kid Universe is a variant of Universe, The Sci-Fi RPG developed as a rules-light role-playing game for quick pickup games, for new gamers, and for young families. It is appropriate for all ages. Children 8 years and older will not find the game too challenging.

The Kid Universe Rulebook is 68 pages, including an introductory adventure. The full-color Kid Universe Profile is available as a free download from this website. Kid Universe uses a simplified version of the Omni-Gamer system's performance table. Rather than using percentile dice (d100), Kid Universe uses a 10-sided die (d10).

The setting for Kid Universe is shared with the Universe Primer. In the introductory adventure, the characters board a deep-space freighter at Marrgen to begin a journey to the Far Star Spacestation, which orbits the solar system's outermost planet, Yesac. The first adventure, Neutron Runner, covers the journey. Subsequent adventures are set on Far Star Spacestation.
